Korea University Sejong Campus has launched a student welfare initiative titled ‘Miseon’s Breakfast,’ aimed at promoting healthier morning eating habits and enhancing student well-being. The program, which offers breakfast to students at the symbolic price of just 1,000 won,, has been made possible through a generous donation of 100 million won from Park Sunwon, Chairman of the Miseon Scholarship Foundation.

 

During the donation agreement ceremony held in January at the university’s main building, Chairman Park stated, “I heard that many students are skipping breakfast due to rising living costs, and I was moved to help like a father would. I hope this breakfast can give our students the energy to start their day with vitality.”

 

Vice President Kim Young stated, “Chairman Park’s heartfelt donation will not only provide a reliable morning meal for many students but will also play a significant role in fostering a healthier and more supportive campus culture. We are committed to ensuring that students can enjoy a nourishing start to their day even in these times of high inflation.”

 

Chairman Park has been a long-time supporter of his alma mater, having contributed a total of 360 million won to Korea University since 2009, demonstrating his enduring dedication to the university’s growth and the welfare of its students.
